They are for the most part voids. I have made great progress I will post pics on the next day or so. hoping to skin by this coming weekend then sea trials

You couldn't in the MWC. Not sure how much longer in the IRC. The plates are in the calculated area though
Wow, lots of work there. 3D printed supers are the way of the future. Unfortunately my 3D printer is very slow. *shakes fist at pile of balsa and plasticard*
Awesome job! That paint job is gorgeous. I've been following this thread with a mix of interest and awe... May I ask what software you are using for CAD?
Thanks paint work is a tan base coat using a marine sand and brown applied lightly with a semi wet course brush. I am old school so my cad choice is Autocad mechanical
I am guilty of this as well..... Does anyone care how much keel we cut away to allow for rudder placement?
Is the keel cut to make the rudder more effective? I don't see how it could be, so no, I don't care, or see why anyone else would. But I have been known to miss things lol.
In order to make the props / rudders most efficient. We IRC tend to ignore scale under the waterline. Given the crickets, lets just put the lid back on the can of worms, and put it back on the shelf....
I have done a few thing mainly spending time printing. I was able to complete and install the Pump and solenoid mount
I love the 3d printer servo mount. Such a great idea. Now i just need to start another boat so I can use it.
That's how they drain the water out after a 1:1 scale sink, none of this turkey-baster foolishness...
