This boat has never fully been built. I had it under construction until I could not get the pneumatics to function. I had it running at CANNATS X. We thought the balsa was too hard until I discovered the balsa absorbed the bb's as I had not waterproofed it correctly. So I am stripping the balsa and will give it a proper build this time. It definitely won't be as detailed as Curt's work but I will be looking to make things as modular as possible. Also a new cannon kit from Battler's will help as well.
Is guns all you are ordring from BC Paul you might want to think about getting an ESC for her as she is way too fast.
Chuck you need to research carefully with the ESCs. There were a lot of good threads about EScs.These forums are a good place to research before you LEAP into a new piece of unfamiliar equipment. Stick with the basics for now till you get a handle on it. Then go for the Esc later.
Actually Paul I took pics of the interior. Let me look at them tonight and I can advise much better. The sheeting is a no brainer. Remove that. More later
I am thinking that the shafts should be removed. all parts except the rudders removed and then start from scratch again. If you want I can get the good camera and take some detailed pictures of the ship.
I redid mine a bunch of times until I liked it.... oh yeah I still don't like it, I will be re-arranging some stuff this winter. Battling it really helps decide where things need to be. I found all my gun to solenoid wires keep getting tangled up in my forward magazines so I will be changing that.
Sounds like what I did when I was making my Kumano. I mounted the rudder stuffing tubes 5 different times before I was happy with it.
I have found a guy in NY who sells the Viper Marine ESCs for $57 a piece. Shipping to up here would be between 10-20 dollars depending how many are ordered. I intend to order some and have them for next season if anyone wants to combine orders. J
Actually they did. I took a look at how you set it up. It has given me more ideas on how I can get it set up.
Nice, I'm glad to hear that. I lay the gun magazines over all that and try to get the decks on. I will be doing the deck details over and will have a photospread to post. I also plan on going direct drive to get more prop speed and then drag disc it down. I want to get it turn a bit better. The changes never stop.
