That is good to hear. i would be nice to see a New Jersey, North Carolina and Alabama sinking a lot of German targets.
Will be sinking the German fleet. Anyways. The pump was installed and tested today. I had to re-drill a hole into the casing as vapor lock was occuring. I had to drill into the side of the casing. The hole at the top had to be sealed with some CA. The stream was good considering the charge on the battery.
Tommorow I will charge the batteries. Next thing to be done is to tool dip some servos and then install with cams for pump/cannons. I also need to get some velcro. I need it to attach expansion tanks to the deck hatch.
If it is not sheeted by the end of this week, it will be sheeted by the end of next week. I am hoping to be painting by next week.
Good to hear Paul sounds like she will be ready for the beginning of the season barring any problems.
I used some dialectric grease to coat the board before I mount it on sintra and balloon it. I think my battery was close to dead as I am not getting any signal to th board to activate the servos. I will know tommorow after I charge the nicad overnight.
The receiver is fine. it was weal receiver battery. I checked the plugs to make sure they were inserted correctly. After charging the battery the receiver is working well. It has now been mounted to sintra and will be places in a container and sealed. I have drilled two openings so servo extenders can be pushed through. I will be labelling all extenders to their proper function. Once that is done the holes will be sealed up and all edges and openings covered with tool dip. I have places dome dryer sheets in so if any moisture forms it is absorbed by the sheets rather than form on the electronics.
I am hoping to be tool dipping tommorow. Once done. I will start prepping the Balsa for the sheeting. I will be sheeting on friday.
Good to hear Paul, looks like you might be able to do trials with the rest of us, in the coming weeks.
Weeks? Hardly. I am hoping to have it ready for the water by next week. Receiver has been secured and all openings have been tool dipped. The sides have been also coated with tool dip so no water can access the openings. One down side I have a battery that won't take a charge. Servo platforms have been reinforced to reduce any movement. Some interesting placement of things. The mavs for the tripples have been velcro's to the super structure hatch. They are all on quick disconnects so it makes some room. Batteries will also be velcro into place. Regulator is set up. I will go to banshee tommorow (my day off) for a co2 refil so I can pressurize system with a full tank. I will also pick up a new battery tommorow.
