Guns and bilge keels Trying out the New drill press, took @bsgkid117 idea for printed holders which was way better and quicker than the normal clamping method normal and bar stock elbows Bilge keels glassed in more guns tomorrow hopefully
Looking good Kevin. A small suggestion on your printed jig. If you add 90 degree wings at the top of the jig, they'll sit on the vice and it'll be very easy to plop the elbow in the jig, put the jig together, slide it into the vice and you'll know the elbow bore is parallel to the drill bit.
Some gun progress for a few projects bilge keels cut down so the boat stops looking like a mid 2000’s VU more guns, small things on deck pieces, solenoid placements and mounts, printing superstructure this week
Reinforced the barbs, knocking the superstructure out. Gun work as well, and setting up the new lathe
Making great progress. That rear SS is a monstrous box. No clue what the Navy was thinking with that one.
Looks like mainly crew berthing. The class was supposed to be faster which meant larger machinery spaces. Had to move the crew up I imagine.
Not sure where you got those plans, the ones I have show a full-size Amazon Warehouse in those aft SS levels.
