Sovietsky Soyuz class.

    Has anyone built this ship, even as a straight model? I'd love to get some info on the hull form.

    I have never built one myself, but Phil A., and I were considering laying down a pair of them a few years ago,
    for big gun.
    I remember seeing some photos of a large model of these
    that was apparently on display in the Central Naval Museum,
    somewhere in Russia. But to be honest, I can not find them
    now.
    I will look around some more, and get back to you.

    It has some good pics showing the hull shape, and scans of the rib sections. I gotta say, those torpedo bulges ruin what would otherwise be a cute-looking ship. Talk about ugly!

    She was designed by the Italians, so they are using the Pulugsi system of anti torpedo water filled bulges, same as on the Littorio's.

    Beautiful but ugly below the waterline. Still like the model though. Great work.
