Issue that I have with this ship is lack of plans. It was explained to me that so many conversions were done as she was being built, that the official plans really don't help with making a model (I did find a place to get them copied, but they wanted $450.00). So No. Found a model site where they spent a lot of time with the plans I think were used and the same set I have (from Taubman). Something is better than nothing, so I will just accept it is a convoy ship and won't hit the water but a few times a year. Here are the hull lines and the green marks are what they say would need to change (of course they didn't post their "corrected" plan set)
Those kind of look like Goff plans. I think I have a plan for that ship somewhere around here. I'll have a look tomorrow through my collection.
The original bow was not the best, so I printed the replacement and used it as the plug. First cut up the old one to get the correct height Then lop off the bow. Glue the new bow and and fill with foam (to get the sides correct) Bow grafted on hull, and before adding more material to the inside Used a laser level to make sure everything was straight and level Next, to the stern
