Battery Harness has been completed. Motors are installed and wired up. Throttle switches are wired up. Switch activator via servo cam is done. Just need to wire the pump to a pump switch and build a servo mount to attach the switch to and install the servo. Did I mention my order for my KingFisher planes arrived. They look good. Strike is divvying up my order for the Termite siding for the superstructure so I hope to have that in a couple of weeks.

ship looks great, have a question, what material did you use for the water channeling?

The water channelling is the Pink foam core used for insulation of houses for exterior siding. Cheap and easy to cut and shape.

I got to make some mods to the throttle cam to activate the switches nicely. Postal Service here averted a strike so that's good for my order of termite stuff from Strike.
I completed the striped camo on the quarterdeck of Roma and it's ready as back up for the Mo when it conducts it's sea trials under power. Just need to hook up the pump switch and pump and install the pump/light servo. Yamato arrived today. It will be resheeted and it's electrical rewired and new water channeling. Possible remove the current motors and install a new pair. After that Old Bismarck will be at the arrive for it's new sheeting replacement, new motor mount and new pump switches and new superstructure.
Hope to have all 4 of the Big Boys on the water this summer.

I wouldn't call the BIS a medium Iceman. It is big enough to put the hurt on someone. I wish I could have been at NATS this year.

BB26 the Mo is very very close. I just been very busy and will be the next week or 2. I hope to get it on the water before the week is over. Doesn't take long to hook up the pump switch. The Mount will be the longest. I think I may use the radio box and mount the servo and switch in that for now so that I can get it on the water at least.
Roma is ready so that's good.
Yamato 's outer hull frame needs the old balsa removed. The main sections of the balsa are already removed.Shouldnt' take long to make new water channelling since the layout is already there. The current wiring harness is still in good shape. The old pump needs to be cleaned up with a new mount. Other than that I am going to sheet it the same as Mo which worked out very nicely.
Bis needs cosmetic repair to the bow area and along the deck edges. Just so that it looks decent when the new sheeting goes on. The new Superstructure in addtion will make it look like a new model again but I know it's 19 years old. Come to think of it Yamato is 12 years and Roma is 14. Only the Mo is the new kid one block.
Wish I could be at Nats also. Well the next Nats I am Allie so Mo should be quite ready by then.

I made the servo box to holdthe pump servo and installed 2 lever switches one for backup. However the radio I have is a Spectrum DX5e. Though it has a 5th channel it doesn't do anything on the 5th channel which I was hoping to use to activate the servo that controls the pump. Think I will use that switch and setup in Bismarck which does have the toggle switch feature on the TX. I will make another mount and install a push on push off switch like I usually do. This can be activated by the servo that will fire the triple cannons once side and activate the pump switch the other side.

Ok the Mount is built and I installed the pump switch and the Mav 3 poppet valve and the servo. I will waterproof the mount. This works well with the current radio. The other pump switch will work well in Bismarck. I got one lead hooked to the pump. Didn't get time today to finish it.

Mo is all hooked up. I tested it today dry run outside on a sidewalk and walked 500 ft and everything worked excellent with no jitters I had full control. Finished tidying up most of the wiring. Just need to to position the receivor and the rx battery and secure the pump servo mount. If weather is decent Mo should see the water with the Roma tomorrow.

Question: What did the other people on the block say to you taking the battleship out for a walk on the sidewalk? =]
