Happy to say the shipyard is ready for ship and other modeling projects loooong overdue. We built this yesterday and it came out good. I have to get a lighting fixture or movable lamp to illuminate the counter . I will be trying out the ships on the shelves and start moving my stuff from a very cramp room. I tested the portable heater last night and it was able to heat up the room comfortable as it was chilly yesterday .This means I can work on the projects during the winter. Things like paints and stuff will stay in the office to keep at a consistent room temperature.
    Anyway here are some pics.
This shot is looking midway from the bench towards the rear of the shed. The standing shelf is taller than me.

The pics are coming out larger than I intended even after resizing them. Sorry but only a couple here.

The bench measures 159 inches from the corner at the front of the shed. I have 2 lighting fixtures above spaced out over the bench. The shelves at top are 16 inches wide and each is 8ft long so I have a run of 16 ft at the top2 levels and the lower shelf is 8 ft by 12 inches wide .Beneath the bench is a lower shelf 8t long. Bench is 26 inches wide. I waited all of my hobby life to have a place where I could build my ships properly. The other side of the shed has a 8 ft bench and there is where the main tools are located such as the belt sander, the drill press, the scroll saw, the table saw and band saw and other bench equipment. I will further expand by building a paint booth and installing that. My man cave side of the shed will be completed by next summer but for now I think this will get me going in the right direction.

This is where Montana will be built as the first shed project. I will be documenting that build for my channel on You tube.

Looks great, Stokomoto! I guess you're going to need the longer bench for the Montana. :)

Thanks Beaver, yeah I anticapated the Montana at 77 inches long so that is longer than my MO, but the Monty is as wide as Yamato. The extra lenght will allow me to create an assembly line of sorts. I need to replace the front doors to the shed as they are in sad shape and drafty so that will be dealt with 2 weeks from now.
This shipyard being next to my House will remove the travel time to get the current shipyard which I been using from a friend since 2006 and have built and rebuilt models such as the Austrian Prinz Eugene , the Roma, Bismarck, Iowa, Yamato refit plus the unfinished the projects, VDT, VU , Tegetthoff, Erebus, Graf Spee, Pow, Iowa and Nagato, and finally Konig so a lot projects to work on. I hope when I get my new job the flexible hours and increased income will afford me to complete these in due time. For now NC will be completed here and wife's VU will be started.
I will have to see what the shipping charges are for Montana very soon.

Boy, you have quite the fleet. :) I'm going to have to do something about my building area as well. It's only a table, and it's hard to keep everything organized.
Plus when I end up building my 1/96 Rodney, I'm going to need something longer than an 8ft table. :)

After I get over the worries about where to build it, then I have to start worrying about how I'm going to transport it. :)
