We need to have our fiberglass molds shipped back from Nevada to store them. We thought that we might be able to do one last hull production run while we are at it. So, between now and Sept 7th, we are taking orders for fiberglass hulls. If we can get about 20 or more hull orders, we can make this happen. The hulls that we have in stock have also been discounted (hulls like the Yamato are about 25% off). This will likely be the last production run for a while, as we do not have a regular fiberglass place here in Washington do lay up hulls.

We acquired Pottle's I400 mold as well, which happened just before we had to shut the doors on Strike Models, so we never put into production. If there is enough interest, we can ship it down and get parts pulled for it as well.

In addition, many of the decks sets are still available on a first come/first serve basis. No additional decks can be made though.

Other items available (sales subject to having stock on hand) :

    • Mtroniks speed controllers (most are close to 50% off)
    • Mtroniks sound modules (close to 50% off)
    • High Precision ammo (close to 50% off)
    • Solenoid valves (5V and 12V) $14, spare actuators also available.
    • Plans are still available.

If we cannot get enough hull orders to do the production run, of course the funds will be refunded. Please feel free to contact us with questions.

    Sincerely,

    Stephen Morgret

I think that you have just made a lot of people happy. I'll take four or five, thank you. I just have to remember which ones I put off ordering until it was too late.

    :)

Now to decide on what hull to get. Leaning towards a South Carolina or an Arizona.

    Stephen,
Am I correct in that it appears all the hulls have been relisted on the site? Thanks

That is correct. ALL hulls are for sale. Assuming we hit the minimum order, I'll be able to put in the order for the new hulls. I still have a bunch of hulls in stock that will go out first, but I only have half of them in. I do already have a chunk of the minimum taken care of, so there is a good chance of it going through.

    Thank you,

    Stephen

I asked Paul Mckinnon to order the Richilieu for me to put with his order. Is it possible to have part of his order shipped to my location ( insert interogative here) .

I should be able to do that. I'll just need to get confirmation from him on the change of shipping location. It will definitely help with shipping costs.

Update on the hull manufacturing order: As of Sept 7th, we have 15 hulls on order that need to be produced. This includes 3 foreign orders from Canada and Australia. We are close enough that I'm sure that the order will go through, but I'm gong to extend the ordering until Sept 13th.

    Thank you,

    Stephen

FYI dude, he has a lot of already-made hulls, so even if it is too late, it's worth shooting him an email or giving him a call to see if he has a Hamp laying around in stock. I dunno if he is checking this forum all that often.

I called about something when this first started, asked about a Derf and he just pulled the hull off the shelf for me.

I can pull out my Derf later today and take some pics for ya. the hull is far thicker than the last fiberglass boat I worked on (Since I build wood boats, it was swampy Houston in like 2001, so I may have a weird eye) and it's in good shape.

I'll have to correct the rim a bit when I get around to her. Gonna bring it to the next Port Polar Bear battle weekend so I can get some help from @Bob
Overall, the deck kit is lovely, the Hull looks like she can take decades of pounding. This'll be my first FB boat in 20 years, so I'm looking forward to it.
