Hi All, Does anyone know the name of the stationary structure that sits directly in front of the rudder on a WW2 submarine? It looks like it could be part of the rudder, but it doesn't move. Thanks, J
It's a skeg, which is not a term that solely relates to propshafts It's a term that relates to vertical sticky-downy pieces below the hull in back
I said 'skeg' first, because 'vertical sticky-downy piece' is more of a technical term I used to annoy the hell out of my chief when I used stuff like that in briefings
