I'd strap the camera onto a tripod and put that on shore somewhere, you don't even have to be able to see the whole battle area, people will fight infront of it just to be on video. You might be able to get a better result that way. I think on board boat video is harder to watch and you have less of a clue as to what is going on since due to the very limited field of view. That makes it less interesting/exciting to me anyway.
I have onshore video to edit as well. This was a fun experiment to see the battle from the boat's POV. I see your point though. Next battle I'll probably put it on a tripod like you said.
I will. I'm right now editing some of the video my sister took for the green-faced land lubbers out there.
@SteveT44 it must have been me that inflicted that damage on the Moggy in the above battle. Now with a closer look at the video it was your starboard side I was engaging.
