Superstructure

I went back and gave the AA platform on the main turrets (#2 & #3) the same treatment. It's next up on the printer but, here's what the CAD model looks like :

Working with the original geometry for the funnels was giving me all kinds of headaches so, I recreated them with simplified cross sections. I'm still working on the caps so the original is still present, in transparent red, in this render of the Aft Funnel. This will be the next part that gets printed.

 

Here's the CAD model of the forward funnel and the two blocks of the superstructure that fit around it :

 

The forward funnel is printing as I type. The aft one, and all it's curved surfaces, came out nicely :

 

The forward funnel came out even nicer !
