Texas taking on water

    This was on the MWC mailing list today and as we are all ship enthusiasts I thought I would pass it on. She was last docked in the 1980's and the hull is over 100 years old. Let's hope this stirs some fundraising for her.

    Apparently a lot of water. Listing and has settled 2 feet from the latest I have been able to find.

    Its not critical at this point and they expect it to be recovered by Wednesday. They are still allowing visitors at this point.

    Hopefully this will spur the dry bearthing efforts.

    She's now down 10' by the stern and has a sizable list to starboard.

    The Olympia is having a simular problem. They did put a patch over a section of the bow (On Olympia's bow that is). I do not know if that fixed all of the leaks.
