The .5 unit

    Some ships have a .5 unit. what exactly does that mean?

    If they are class 1 or 2, then they can run a half unit pump and 1 or 2 guns. Or they can run a full unit pump and a half-unit gun.

    If they are class 4 or up, one gun gets an extra 25 BB's in the magazine.

    If they are class 3 it's complicated, and explained in the rules.
