Hey great to see young new Captains do thier own work AND nice work it is. Looking forward to seeing this destroyer launch. Shipyard looks busy for sure. I like the VU. Is the Iowa the black hull? The pond looks fantastic. Perfect place to battle. Shoreline is nice and straight good for speed tests and setting up bases and forward bases for convoy action. Look forward to seeing the new ships conduct sea trials, cruise and battles and of course sinks in this pond. Looks like things are in place for a club to conduct activities on this pond.

Glad you asked that Paul.... it is two feet off the shore... so no shallow sinks here.... then 8 in the middle.... perfect!

I am setting up for this weekend. Admiral Sheer will launch and Shinano will be right after!

I am relearning some things.... like.... throttle servos. Have built a new one for pond trials. I am teaching John, Lee, Dave, Will, Bob and Cain at a build session on friday... may be another model or two going out!!! :)

itchin' to get out there.... burning summer hours now!

A lot has been happening here. It's been a revolving door of captains to the ship yard.

    *UPDATE*

Admiral Sparrow has completed external work on Admiral Sheer and has the new motor mount ready. Unfortunately, we are waiting on supplies from NS to arrive to begin installation. All radio gear accounted for and wiring harness ready. My wish is for this weekend to be on the water!

Captain Sparrow Jr. Has completed the work on his motor mount for Glorie and is awaiting.... well.... you have heard this story before. He still needs to build his throttle servo and wiring harness. Other than that the rest is cosmetic. He has been working on refining his super structure. Good progress!

Captain Dunn of the Newfoundland. Found things frustrating this week as his stubborness got the better of him. Has been doing great restorative work on Newf... and.... is ... waiting ... for ... parts... sigh.....

Captain Murray of the Sodak. Was not available this week for work on his ship. He assures me this wednesday he is coming over to work for a few hours on the ship. Externally, she looks the part... just gotta get the guts into her.

Captain See has done some work making a new access hatch for the rudder and then a bit of sub deck. He has the Mogami home with him to clean up, paint and patch. Will see him later this week.

Captain Orth has also taken his home, Malaya, to grind and smooth out the hull as best he can. After that we are going to "deck" her out with a .... deck....

Captain Morgan has been busy this week ... and Captains Ernie and Bill will be available in July...

You are now up to date!

    Capt Jack Sparrow OUT!
