We got a big present at lunch today! Anyone recognize the handy work? Someone did a phenomenal job on making this thing straight and pretty! Check it out and tell me what you think. What is it? The lines are smooth and surfaces super silky. I think I’ll pull a mold off it. Anybody want one? Let me know.
Built 1986, has seen several Reno's. Undergoing a dust off and salvage. Super plugs exist, molds are shot. I have all the doc's in Italian, thank you google. As soon as I get a plastic hull from Tim, building will start. Looks fast just sitting there, IMO one of the most beautiful.
Actually, I think I recalled wrong what I uploaded. I will have to go export step files rather than STL files and upload them as well. that way normal cad packages can edit them. STLs are here https://rcwarshipcombat.com/resources/littorio-turrets.101/ https://rcwarshipcombat.com/resources/littorio-class-superstructure.49/ I will try to get the steps added soon.... feel free to ping me if soon is not soon enough

Yes I’m in. I just pick up one of Greg’s wooden kits but that said A fiberglass hull could make things a little easier. The wooden hull I got was designed for big gun so requires a bit of modification. I’m still looking for someone with 3D printer skills to build me the superstructure. I would be willing to $$$ for time and materials.
The Japs tend to be a impatient culture, Can't even wait for their ambassadors to type out a declaration of War. Think of the panic at the Kongos being held back. Italians on the other hand tend to appreciate the time and quality aspects of the hobby. And they eat better!
Sometimes you can only take on really big projects if you have a giant pair of chrome plated steel nuts.
Only spot we could find to improve upon was a couple divots in the tail end sides. Adding clay keeps us from burning through the tooling gel when we surface finish the molds. More tomorrow
