Hey Chuck can we take the sheeting off for the show? it will make a great display like that. If your planning to do the work on it, that will be one less thing for you to do when you get it back.
Chuck give me a shout when you can.... I have a couple of ideas to run by you.... CHuck.... hellllllllo.....
You folks know what needs to be done to her. You can do whatever needs to be done to her. That would include removing the sheeting and marking/cutting out the additional windows she needs.
Hey Guys went to the basement and started the rebuild this afternoon, there are some before pics and will be lots of pics during her time in the shipyard. The before pics will go up soon and we will post more as the work progresses.
Chris took the intiative Chuck and broke open all your balsa windows... I figure you are at 75-80% cut out... and sawed out the deck. The rest of the balsa needs to come off. The remainder of the deck needs to be sanded down and cleaned up. Then the restoration work can begin... including a major crack in your hull... it looks like it was repaired... with bondo.... *sighs* we'll let you know if the patient will live.
Were you aware of said crack before aquiring Malaya Chuck? Or was this an accidente? Bondo will just not do monsieur!
Yikes... anyway... I've got some calls to make in the morning and some finishing to do to the downstairs bathroom... when I am done I'll give the girl a look over Chucky.
