She looks really good Mikey, I can't wait to see her on the water.

    Thanks.
I have started on the internal stuff, and hope to have that finished this weekend. Then she will be sheeted, and ready for the water.
Running behind schedule as usual. Oh well.

Hey Mikey nice work there. I have a question..the Funnel bases. How do you make the platform at the base? I usually have trouble getting them right.I am referring to the sloped ring around the base of the funnel.

    I used 3/8" (7 ply) plywood.
I traced the ovals for the inside and outside edges. Then cut the outside edge with a scroll saw, with the saw plate in the normal position.
I then re-set the saw plate at the angle for the sides of the ring and cut them. I then cut the ends of the funnel ring as close to the desired angle as possible. Then I hit the ends with a sander to get them shaped. Then I cut out the center of the ring to keep the weight down.
I like to used the nice plywood for stuff like that as you can hit it with a sander, and see where you need to sand to by looking at the different layers of the wood.
Time consuming for sure. But the end result is nice looking.

    The Bismarcks don't scare me.
It's the Prinz Eugen that I am worried about.

They say a picture is worth a thousand words.
Well, I have only had the time to post the pictures for the last few weeks. I will spend more time writing stuff up after Memorial Day.
