    IRCWCC is $10
They are really nice(unless you're the target) and you will learn a lot about the hobby.
You will have a great time and they can answer all your questions. Ok, maybe most....

To come watch, and possibly drive someone's boat around on lunch doesn't cost anything. Once you start battling, it costs about $60 for IRCWCC or MWCI. IRCWCC is technically only $10 to join (and conveniently payable online using paypal), but you _DO_ have to join NAMBA as well, which costs $45 or $50 (I forget, it's been 6 months since I paid). So the net price to battle is the same, since you can't battle in IRCWCC without the NAMBA membership (because that's your insurance).
