Sorry PC down would have gotten back sooner the can goes under the table around the blade to create a funnel from table to lower box and when you turn on the vacuum you actually get suction at the table where blade goes thru

When you switched blades was it hard because of the type or just hard thinking of putting on a smaller blade got the big stock one on it still

It was just hard because I had to change the tilt of the gears and whatnot because the blade would hit the guard. However it may have just been that one blade that didn't fit right. I did find out later that the guard (black area where the blade goes through the table) is plastic for the very reason that different blades will hit it and therefore can cut through it if they do hit.

Well its not really a guard - i just couldn't think of a better name. Its that black piece in the middle of the table that the blade goes through.

that blows. Seems band saw blades are hard to come by.... Home Depot doesn't carry the right size for our saw (or at least the local one doesn't) and the Sears in my area didn't even have a blade to cut metal that fit our saw, and didn't even have a shelf spot for one..... I had to suit for a blade meant for cutting curves in wood that was only available in a 3 blade set. psh.

Could you order the blade you need online? You can buy just about anything on the internet these days.
