More than likely you could, I was just too impatient to wait.

I have a sears band saw that does not tilt. How are you using the tilt? Are you using this instead of a scroll saw? I cant seem to cut straight lines with my band saw, I think I am just going to get a pair of small chop saws one for cutting small wood and one for metal. Any thoughts on that?

I don't use my scroll saw at all because it's possessed by the ghost of some allied captain! It'll start to cut then just rip the would out of your hand and fling it around, and since I'm cutting small stuff chances of losing a finger are about 97%.

You don't actually tilt the blade, but the table. I'm not sure what model you have, but the tilt control for Monks and mine is on the back (if your facing the teeth of the blade), I believe under the table. Either that or on the side near the blade... can't remember.

It is under the table behind blade

Luckily Yamamoto seems to be in control of the band saw, as it works almost flawlessly and better than I would have suspected - but takes alot of planning to get it set up right.
