This might sound like a Odd queston so here it is. Is there aneything in he rules about torpedo blisters on ships? Im not going to ask about belted armor it seems quite clear in the rules about the balsa thickness. But the other is not at all mentiond in the rules

They are modeled for hull shape but have no functional purpose.

In real life yes they do have a function, Structoral filled with water and air to absorb hits from torpedos. what I was asking what about adding them to a ship body. not cosmetic?

We model the shape of the hull so that it looks like the real ship. So a ship like my HMS Malaya which has two torpedo bulges is built with the bulges but does not get a double hull or anything like that. It does get a stringer where there is a significant change in the shap of the hull, as there are some bends that balsa just can't do (like the edge of a casement deck), and the stringer helps block some shots from going through. But not a super advantage or anything.

In 1:1 scale ships, yes they serve a function. In these model ships the main function is to make the hulls hard to sheet at times.

It's okay, I'd rather questions get asked than to have a ship constructed that has wierdness in it. :)
