I got the motors off of Ebay last year. I have 6 of the good ones that pull low amps. I was lucky. I heard that some of the 950's are real bad with the amps and really can't be used.
I'll try to get some pictures. I just got back from Red Lion to Strasburg, Pa. on the bike. 70 miles. I have to eat something, anything. The only thing I had was a bananna. I was really starting to feel it with about 10 to go.
    Thanks,

Ok tks. I remember using one of those motors that pulled low amps. I was able to run Bismarck off a 12v 7amp and it woudl run for nearly 3hrs. 2HRS flat out the last hour the speed would. drop but it was a gradualy decline.
I will try Ebay and see what's there. I been searchign sites to try and locate these motors.

Oopps Sorry. :whistling:Yeah I got a Johnson HC 970 on order from Harbor Models.com 29.95. I saw these motors for Sale from a guy on Craig's list. He had a dozen of them and was selling them all for 20.oo bucks. I contacted him but some guy in California purchased them from him , so I just missed out. :(Hmmm maybe that guy will post them for sale.

The motor is exactly what I used in my Bismarck and I got to tell you it is an awesome motor. I used to run a 12v7amphr Panasonic SLA off of it and I could get 2.5 to 3 hrs running. I then got the other version which was just a 6v and it worked very well too for 7 yrs.

I have a similiar motor installed but untested. I hope this one works till I receive my new one.

I was able to cut the windows on both the port and starboard sides of the Bismarck this weekend. I need only cut the slits above the armor belt. I hope to start sheeting at the build session this weekend and start shooting up Allied ships very shortly.

Let the sheeting begin!! I hope to have the Bismarck sheeted by Friday night with the below the waterline area painted. Saturday, I hope to paint the rest of the hull. Sunday Bismarck will be on the water with all systems working.
