This boat will almost certainly be the best of scale boat in our group.
I appreciate folks going to the trouble of making the boats look nice.
It also helps at the boat displays that we participate in. As most spectators don't understand
why we don't add more detail.
And yes. It is kinda fun watching the small parts go flying.
    On the uproll!

Our Hobby Shop doesn't carry the turntable of plastruc styrene parts however I am familiar with it. I do recognize the trussess. Excellent. Thanks for the closeup. I know what to use for Nagato. :D

Just a quick update on all the pretties....
Two of my AAA mounts broke off before getting her in the pond, as did the top portion of the mast. One of the remaining AAA mount suffered a direct hit (left barrel) and blew the tub and gun off. The gun ended up sitting on my launches, and the tub resides with Davy Jones (or was it Micky Dolens, I can never keep The Monkeys straight... :D )
That long slender ladder took a direct hit, but just broke on the bottom. It is still complete and in the right place.
What did not fare so well were my casements: The 1/2" half-round sections had two casualities out of twelve. The "flat panel" areas were covered in 1mm ABS attached with contact cement in case the hull ever needed to run under fast gun rules where that area needed to be penatrable. The theory was that a firm push from the inside would remove the 34 panels to allow for sheating in balsa. Three panels did not make it.
    You live, you learn. :)

The bottom ship in the top photo looks like an Iron Duke.

The planes are coming along OK. Even with a simple design, making a squadron of 20 is taking some time. Right now I'm also not sure how I'm going to do the static props. I keep telling myself it's going to look great on the water.o_O

Why do you need props. All the engines are running and you can't see the props spining.
You could also cut a small clear plastic disk to the the blur made by the spining prop.
