Twin diesels gave it an unrefueled range of 20,000 nautical miles (at 10 kts)

You're better than me. I've been researching for the last two days and still haven't a clue. :)

Finally found it. :). Overlooking some obvious clues led me far away from where I should have been looking. :)

No guesses? I don't care if you googled it.

The lead ship of this class ended up being a Greek cruise ship.

I wasn't going to guess because Cannonman discovered it ahead of me. :)

That's correct. It would make a fun model for Battlestations, if it wasn't so slow. But I may build one eventually anyway.

I fought in WWI. I was laid down by one country, but transferred to another shortly before my completion. I fought in my countries first naval battle, where I emerged the victor. I also hold a somewhat unique distinction of having engaged in battle (indecisively) with a zeppelin. Who am I??

Which country did she fight her first naval battle for, the original builders or her later owners?

The later owners, she was purchased or transferred before completion. She is a cruiser.

    OK, here we go.

I was originally being built for the land of the czar. Shortly after completion, war broke out and I was confiscated by my builders. I received light damage at Jutland. I also participated in other battles in the North Sea. After the war I was ceded to Italy as a war prize. I later served in the Regia Marina during ww2 before I was sunk.
