Indeed you are correct. His father was also an author. The ship wrecked in the tsunami being the armored cruiser Memphis. (ex. Tennesse)

Fairey Swordfish British torpedo Bomber. It was called that due to all the bracing wires around the wings, and it's ability to carry a multitude of loads.

This Japanese cruiser fought more ship-to-ship surface actions then any other cruiser in the war. She screened Shokaku and Zuikaku at Coral Sea. Java Sea and Second Java Sea, she fought Allied cruisers of 4 different nations and emerged victorious. At Empress Augusta bay, she and 3 other IJN Cruisers intercepted a force of 4 Allied light cruisers and took only minor damage in an Allied victory. As part of Admrial Kurita's Center Force, she survived the ambush in Palawan passage that claimed her step sisters Maya and Atago, and the aerial assault of Sibuyan sea. Off Samar, fellow cruisers Chikuma and Chokai were lost, Kumano and Suzuya shattered, but escaped herself with relatively light damage.

As one of the last operational IJN cruisers, she was finally brought to bay by five British destoyers in the malacca straight, and in the last gun battle between surface ships in history, was sunk by gun and torpedo fire.

    Which Japanese ship?

Who was scuttled to prevent it falling into the hands of the enemy, raised and loaded with war booty by the enemy. towed away and anchored as a training target for dive bombers and torpedo ships, withstood a total of twenty-four hits including two torpedo strikes before sinking and was found in August, 2006?

While commerce raiding in 1939, which British warship did Graf Spee disguise herself as?

Repulse is the winner! I figured Boomer would have that one for sure.

Well with the additional fake stack far back it could be maybe confused with a Arethusa class cruiser. My first thought was a KGV class BB none of them were commisioned in 1939.
