Are they similar in design to the electric motors the old New Mexico's?
Seems likely. The basic deisgn was unchanged for a loooong time. I could pick out identical equipment in the ER of USS Yortown (also a steamship like my sub). Working on a new item, will post shortly.
I was gonna tell you the answer to that one in two years, after I'm done with nuke school...
Okay, for sure this time... what was the colloquial name for the type of aiming system used on the Takao class cruisers?
Ay carajo! I pick one question that's not on wikipedia and nobody answers. Hint: It's findable easily in the book 'AotS: The CruiserTakao'
Great, the only book I don't have. Well, I guess I'm off to the bookstore
LOL Eric, if you didn't have it, you should have! Someday I'll do a Takao.
You may have to do another question, this one seems like it won't be answered any time soon.
I haven't even been able to find that book here so I'm not getting it.
kk... I'll find an easy one that can be done with wikipedia
Well, not too easy.
I got a pic ready (blanking out flags) but had to go get the ice cleared off the car before going to work. So it'll get posted at lunch or tonite. Topic is: Ship I.D.
Okay... I'm stuck at work for a while, so I'm doing an 'identify this officer' question...
"Confused though he was, he assembled the mightiest fleet ever to do battle in a landlocked nation"
Oh my. That sounds like something the French would do...
2nd clue from this officer: "I am so manly, I wore a skirt into battle!"
3rd clue: "I named my two ships 'Meow' and 'Woof!', although in another language...
Could you be...
And we have a WINNAH!!!
The captain of thes vessal yelled "I have not yet begun to fight!" to the enemy.
Bonhomme Richard, captain was John Paul Jones
Darn ur right.
oh well, hey at least u have better questions.
