Hobby King has the Turnigy Evolution on sale for $23.10. It does come with the type C receiver which doesn't work for me but the A type is cheap. (So glad I paid more than double that late last year)
Just a heads up to potential buyers. This radio has a built in battery that charges via USB and lasts just about 1.5~ battle days. You can't swap the battery, so make sure you charge it every night. Kevin S (my local graduated rookie) has one and has been burnt by the built in battery limitations more than once. But all in all a solid radio especially for $23.
I had been wondering about how long its going to last. I tested mine on charging from my USB pack and that did work. So my plan is the keep a pack in my box and top off between battles.
