Hi guys, I know that I've been rattling on about books this week I just got my copy of LaCroix's Japanese Cruisers of the Pacific War. It was about $65 and it is worth every penny. It is, in fact 3 inches thick and weighs a ton! It has history, design characteristics, and drawings (including hull frames) of every Japanese cruiser from WW2 (including the WWI ones they refitted and used). If you can find a copy, I highly recommend it! I am in loooove...
That IS a danger. I'll have to be careful, at least on the pages where the hull frames drawings are It also has real pictures, from close up, of the superstructure of the ships. Never seen any pics of Japanese ships of this quality before. From the preface, they mention a lot of IJN officers who kindly shared personal pics, as well as the Japanese naval historical society. The amount of effort into this book is impressive. I may spend the next few years making hull and detail molds Battling? What's that?
