Thought we might discuss the figures a little since no ship in AOS would be complete without a gun crew and a catpain on deck!

I have been trying to find out just what size we need since they do not make any that I have found in exact scale.

I do know most figurine makers use what they call "Eye level" measurements, meaning they give measurements in scale up to what a standard man's height would be at eye level which is 1610 mm, about 5' 3". Some do make them at "Top of Head", 1730 mm, or 5' 8". but they are not common.

I have found several sources for the two main scales we can use. Both 28 mm and 40 mm.

I think it is closer to our scale to use the 28 mm since that is close to a 5' 3" measurement in scale and would be real close to what we need.
A very good couple of sites are:
    Victrix www.victrixlimited.com/
    Perry Minitures www.perry-miniatures.com/
There are also other sites, just google 28 mm figures

I found a good chart for showing where to cut and remove material when reshaping your figures..
