I try to use my ballast as useable equipment for the cause.

I considering 2 6v 12Amp drive batteries and a single 6 v 4amp just for the pump. My intention is to keep as much room available for access of systems.

I think I will have to order a scale set of tennesee plans. I went to a few places locally to blow them up and at each place I got the deer in the headlights look.

What's wrong with these people? They don't have the equipment to upscale the blueprint?

I think the place has the equipment but lets just say the technical knowledge of the employees I talked to was less than stellar. It is a good thing breathing is autonomic or else they might not make it in this world.

I tried a few places. One place wanted 70 dollars to expand it out.

Hate to be commercial here, but Strike Models does have a 1:144 plan for the Tennessee/California for $14.

Ken is that a good plan or is it the old Goff plan?

Not familiar with his work. Paul looks like I get the Cali/Tens plans from Strike. You need a decent set of plans. If your looking for reference there's 3 I think of this class under the ship gallery. One of them looks like what you would be striving for. I forget the name of the owner but I will get it for you.

Paul the ship is under the Battleship category in the ship gallery. The Captain is elijefe. I would contact him and find out how he has this one setup and get more pics from him. He may have plans of it and he's refitting it as California.

I'm assuming you want plans for the superstructure of the ship as you have a hull already. When you get the basic things laid out (turrets) I usually go online and find scale models of the ship. There are a million things you can pick out to add. Judging from your last boat I saw, I'm guessing this one will be equally stunning!

elijefe 's pics of his Tennessee have a pretty good view of the super. Another fellow here is refitting his old Tennessee with nice detail. There's great shots of the Superstructure.

Ok using Graph paper I placed the War at Sea Axis MINI Bismarck on it and angled the turrets to the angles I want to set on my 1/144 Bismarck. I marked out the impact points of the shots at various ranges. Using the Yamato mini in the same scale I placed it at various attack positions to see how the set up on Bismarck would work in various scenarios of attack and defence. It looks like the angles I have set up will provide excellent offense and defence. Dangerous all around. I set up Yamato turrets as if a NC or Alabama and made different attack approaches to see what position Bismarck would have to be in to fight against. So far it's worked out pretty well. These minis help give a visual perspective on how things could play out on the water between ships during RC combat.

Tjhat's beautiful. I was going to use this as a reference to build Califorina before I sold it to bb26. Lots of nice detail. I thought Yamato and Bismarck looked busy. This looks great. You do know this will get damaged right?

Yeah! lol I built that before I had even contacted my local MWC group! I tried to keep it light & strong... the super weighs 2.5 pounds.
I will build a foam/balsa one hopefully maxing out at 1.5 pounds. I actually like repairing the damage, it kind of makes you feel like you're at the shipyard if you can force perspective yourself.
I've been told the US dreadnoughts are fine hug & slug ships. in our local club we have 2 California's almost ready for battle, another hull on a shelf, and a Pennsylvania that will hopefully be started by the end of the year.
I hopefully will have my Nagato ready by then... muhahaha:laugh:

Nice pics of the superstructure. I don't think mine will be that detailed.

bb26 looks like Chris may be able to go too. He was thinking of completing the Seylidtiz.
