I'm thinking deck, sub deck and guns. You will be amzed how after you settle on your guns, how nothing else fits the same...

True enough. The deck has been ordered and should be here soon.

Paul the Sintra Deck I gave you,you should mark out the barbette holes and use that as a guide while you wait for the subdeck and deck. Tape it on the hull and test fit the cannons just to see how things may fit. Looks like your Pump could go back further than where it is You could probalby stand the batteries up and have the bottle fit straigh down the middle. That would free up everything in forward of the batteries for servos ect. Lots of options there.

What if the pump was placed as far back as possible ahead of the stern cannon and placing the bottle end just behind the pump. It sshould clear the cannon mag and the rest of the bottle will be postioned between the motors. From there you could run hoses between the batteries up to the firing valves and servos which would be below B turret or between both B and A turret. The Batteries can lay flat running length wise to the hull.

The sintra deck will be my templated for the actual deck when it arrives. The only downside is that i dont have the scale plans yet. They are coming with the deck. I have looked at the idea of standing the batteries up. It certainly does create a lot more room for the bottle.Hopefully the eck will be in this week. I tested the PE's cannons. They needed a bit of a tweek. Checked the pins and no rust is there and they seem to be feeding fine.

Most of my boats end up with the regulator up on top of the batteries (which cures the liquid co2 problem) I don't know why, that's just how it is. You need the decks to plan the hatches so you can plan the relloading of magazines and the reloading of the bottle. This is key to a workable design. Where are all the gut shots of Tennessee's? There must be quite a few out there to look at.

I will take some more shots and post them of what it looks like so far. I am just waiting on the plans so I can accurately plan for cannon placement. I have a sintra deck that i will use to mock up some cannon placements

Some more shots to show how much room is available
First one is with battery standing up

The second is the stern area.

I think I like it done like this. It is actually a very good layout and I bet it clears the guns too. Or the bottle could move to ...

Regulator on top of the battery.

not sure why that keeps happening...

I will probably build a bottle holder to keep it off the bottom. After the batteries I am thinking of a waterproof box for the servos/throttle.

What ever works Paul. If the ballast is too nose heavy you can trim at the stern by adding small weights back there.

I do have some 1 pound diver weights that I can use. aslo I can also get the lead shot from a dive shop over in Burnside. There seems to be plenty of room to fit things in.

Not a problem. it is a money order. Thank you for the pump switch. The hull shape indicates that it will fit nicely in the stern.

The deck kit has finally arrived. as well as the plans. it is a nice set with good detail for superstructure building. Juts a few minor modifications to the deck kit and I will be on my way. I will post pictures later.

So any ideas on how to attach a wooden subdeck to the hull? I am thinking of getting some machine screws and attach it directly to the hull (with a little help from some CA)

Epoxy works great, just clamp it in place while the epoxy cures.
