    I agree with your points, McSpuds... perhaps a proposal is in the offing? My brain hurts too much right now to come up with the words-words for it :)

    I agree with McSpuds about a need to revise that rule. On the Ingermanland, the bottom edge of the stern galleries is going to sit 2.75" above the waterline.
    Here's a picture. Black lines are my rescaled plans. Blue lines are what I had laser cut. Bottom of the red line is on the waterline. Top of the red line is just below the bottom edge of the stern galleries. The length of that line is 2.75"[​IMG]:

    I don't have enough experience to suggest a rules change for this.
