This will document the USS Gearing build from Vac-U-Boat.

    Starting with the uncut hull

The deck comes attached to the hull, so you are already ahead of the game. Each rib is already backed and glued in place to resist cracking.

These are some of the parts that are included in the kit

New from Battlers Connection, lighter than Kips

As a general note, you will not be the most feared on the water with this ship. However, you will be on the water quicker than most and enjoying the battling experience. As a small boat you will also have less patching which means more battling each day (In the SAS we have sorties while the big ships patch). The idea is to get you on the water and be able to survive the experience. Once you have some battling under your belt, you can build a cruiser/battleship/whatever as a second boat.

In this hobby, more boats on the water does equal more fun for all captains.

True, but you can build it in the living room and no sawdust or fiberglass fibers.

So there is some really cool tech in this build but I don't want to let the "cat out of the bag" until it is proven at NATS. Basically a new gun design that will really help small ships if it can make it through a NATS. Lightweight and can fire in any orientation (so many different ways to set it up). Usually don't like to tease, but I also don't want to promote something before it has really been tested.

Why do you have to go tease us with such a revolutionary device so FAR away from NATS???:crying::crying::crying: It better be good since you're making us wait so long. :p:D

IF it reliably works... Posting now would be a bunch of speculation, and with all the drama that is sure to happen with the rules meeting I don't want the extra aggravation. The cannon already has been christened the "avenger".
Time permitting this weekend if I can get over to Phil's we can test and then post results.
This could have been done in the past, but not to my knowledge.

I've spent the bulk of my career on Avenger class MCMs. I would like to procure 6 guns;-) maybe I'm just being sentimental. Make it 10. Kidding, but not kidding and looking forward to the results.
