I remember reading that the Soviet Sovietksky Soyuz was actually launched to clear the slip way before she was broken up. But I could be mistaken

Turrets A and B with the forward access hatch in place.
The sub-deck is already routered out, and the hatches snap firmly into place.

Forward access hatch removed. You can see the counter-sunk lip for the access hatch to lay on.

Having the hatches pre-cut, with the counter-sunk lip in the sub-deck is a very nice touch.

I like the rounded corners as opposed to the straight edge corners.

That's an interesting question. The boat has just returned to my boatyards, and will be returning to service in the very near future.
    I will post up-dates.

I had the Ohio, and a H-39, and TWO Yamatos, and an Iowa, now the Alsace as well. I am planning on a Soyuz after the 96 Bart is finished, I didnt need another huge ship for treaty. I did get two class six ships out of the trade that found there way to new skippers. I felt that the Allied ships are very plentiful this year, and would not get to run the Ohio, Mikey had a large part in its construction, I would like to replace it with one of its sister ships down the road, would be nice to see a pair of Montanas with the Soyuz and a pair of Yamatos with the H duke it out, while the Alsace takes on the Iowa...
