She turns very well at the low speeds .I was very surprised how much control on steering and how tight and responsive to little rudder throw the ship turns .

Thanks Bob ! Too bad you could not see it in person. Paul Mckinnon did when he was here several weeks ago. It truly is a nice subject model to build. Handles great on the water also.

Montana update. Yes there is an update as this model is still a WIP . I have a digital sound system being made for the ship to have these sounds . 16 inch gun fire, Secondary 5 inch firing, AA 40MM Quad Bofors firing . Collision Alarm, Bosun Pipe, Battle Stations, Funnel Horn, Fog horn . The last thing to do for this model is to complete the railings which I need to make a very strong set of rails to keep from being crushed and or ripped away from handling. I still have a dozen officers to paint and put aboard. I just replaced the Anchors as the preceeding pair were damaged trying to maneuver the model through the house and into a room for winter storage. The Smoker was tested last week and it still works like a charm. I need to do repair a battery connector wire but I did fire up the engines and ran it through all of the variable speeds. Looking forward to getting the model back on the water soon.
