I am planning on getting it completed before battle season next year. I plan on going with brushed drive and brushless pumps and having side mounts in B and X turrets and having a bow gun in A turret. I floated the hull at 43 and 45 lbs. I am going to shoot for 43-44 lbs total weight.

I did kind of a dry run of how I will have the internals setup for the boat. I am planning on doing a 24v system with a belt drive train. Planning on 2 9oz bottle if I can if not I believe 2 7oz or 5oz bottles will be work.

I molded the bottle holders into the water channeling to give them a bit of angle. Also set it up so I can use a 5oz or 7oz or 9oz bottle for the ship. 2E880E2D-2990-46AD-B7C6-23599E5319C2.jpeg

Also Started to build a cart for it because even though I am young I would like my back to stay with my age and really who wants to carry a 40ish lb boat around all the time.

Next bit of progress is going to be finishing up the water channeling and then start on the shafts and rudder. Wood will be ordered soon for the subdeck and deck also have to build SS and Guns for it.

Someone put a fairly decent Iowa Class superstructure in the resources section if you can 3D print parts…

It is not a Jersey specific superstructure. I intend to make that at some point…

Looking good! I’ll update my Missouri build thread with current internals for reference, for two bottles I did one all the way in bow, another one midships between batteries. The 4x forward solenoids could be tight with 2 bottles up there

Eh, just use a 12 oz bottle, it's fine.

12oz is fine but didn't have much margin. With any sort of leak, and with a mid-sortie Kas-synchronized-swimming-exhibition the boat would run out of gas towards the end

That's some serious gassage. One might think you had a leak. I just mentioned it because when we were running doubles on the Bisquicks, 12oz and a high flow regulator was more than enough to keep them happy, even Tim's insanity.

So, funny story. I was having a dream the other night, that I was at Nats, and I had a Montana, the 1944 variety. It had two pumps, double sidemounts in B and X, and triple sterns. Yowza. Apparently I woke up before trying to lift it, though.

I think I'll stick with the < 40 lb botes, thank you... :p

Thanks Kevin that would be awesome and super helpful. I have been looking at the build thread a couple of times to get some ideas of how to outfit the boat and some other things.

As for the boat I finished up the water channeling and got the stuffing tubes in but not mounted. Next bit of work is going to be getting the stuffing tubes mounted and cutting the shafts and mounting the props. Then on to getting the rudders in and mounted. 98199E31-FF3B-4163-A562-5790599FB232.jpeg

It's not a BB62 without a pair of above ground swimming pools mounted on the deck.

7D2EC45F-E28A-4751-A1D9-304935E242BA.jpeg Been busy with work and the holidays lately. But that didn’t stop me from printing this beautiful super structure for the NJ thanks to @darkapollo.
Just need to do some sanding and little bit of cleaning up with an exacto and she will be good to go.
