If had a club here under the CWC-X format Yamato and Montana would be both class 10- 10 units. Iowa would be a class 9. I would set up Montana as a dual sidemounts A and B turrets, and a DEATH -Y pattern for C and D turret facing aft. That would be nasty. With the extra turret and extra units there would be many setups to consider on a Montana. Far more flexible than a Yamato.

    Hull is taped off.
Sub-deck/deck. ribs, solid bow, and stern, and both stringers.
Starting to work on the skegs.

    Thanks all.
Yes the inner shafts ran through the skegs.
A typical feature on the modern US battleships.
I think that I read somewhere that they helped support the weight of the
overhanging stern while on the building blocks.

Makes a lot of sense when you think about it; when they had the Missouri in drydock last year for its overhaul, they had blocks specifically placed to settle the skegs on, and pictures of the other Iowa-class ships out of water... that's a loooooooot of ship left hanging out in space.

    Looks great Mark.
The cannons for the boat have arrived from Mike M.
Work on the project has slowed somewhat in order for everyone to get ready for the May event.
After that, we will no doubt get back to work on her.
