The old superstructure had taken quite a beating. It was constructed from EPP foam with fiberglass on the outside and built up level by level. So there were a lot of BBs that penetrated between the levels as well as right through the fiberglass.

I built the new superstructure out of 1/8" lite ply so the sides are one piece. I also simplified the design some - using the same AA platform for all the 3" guns rather than keeping the scale outline.

    Here's the re-fitted Roanoke:

The measure 21 camouflage looks very nice and makes the ship look like it sitting low in the water. I would like to say that the re-fit is complete, but I have a couple of other minor things I would like to do. At least it is battle worthy right now.

Knowing Mark, he did it on his CNC mill.

Dustin is right, I made the ship stand using my CNC mill. It only works well if I have the hull contours in a computer drawing so that the stand fits.

Dude, you're digging up a lot of ancient posts, anything beyond 1 year out probably wont get a response. You should introduce yourself, let people know where you are located, what format you are interested in, what type of boat, get in contract with local people, and go from there. Spamming the forum really serves no purpose. Also the local group probably has some members with boats they would be willing to part with, which would be more effective than random spraying the past decade of for sale posts
