USS South Dakota BB-57

Just thought I would share what I found via open source at the National Archive Online ( https://research.archives.gov/search?q=*:*&f.ancestorNaIds=559597&sort=naIdSort asc&tabType=document )....I am posting some of the Booklet of General Plans for the USS South Dakota (BB-57). BTW - I am still looking for the Booklet of General Plans or line drawings with cross sections for the Wyoming Class (BB-32 or BB-33) if anyone has them? Thanks!

 

Nice find. That set of search results included the DE John C. Butler.

If you widen the search parameters, you can find stuff on the Arizona, Oklahoma, Idaho, and armored cruiser North Carolina, too.

 

Dietzer, I did see those other battleships but could not find their cross sections.
