I found a 6v36ah battery and a 6v20ah battery on batterymart. Is the 20ah good? The 36ah sounds like its a little much.

I would go with the 36ah battery, thats pretty standard for a NC. There isn't really an advantage to using a smaller battery since the ship has plenty of space and weight. Depending on your setup if you run a 20ah battery you might have to worry about running low on juice towards the end of the sortie which is when you need it most.

I find that using the smaller batteries gives you one advantage. They can be used in a smaller boat.

I got these guys to offer the 36 amp at $40 last year, and its still listed at that price. They actually sent me 38 amp batteries for $40. Cant beat the price.

Visit this site has wire cheaper than darticus found it. $0.35 per foot of 14 gauge.

Before I order it, Is there a direct correlation between gauge and volts? I ask since there is no mention of the voltage that the wires at Visit this site are rated for.

Nah, the voltage rating is dependent on the insulation type, not the wire gauge. Almost anything will carry 12V, 6V is easy! :)

    BIG PROBLEM TIME:
I have the esc hooked up to the battery correctly and the motor connected to the esc correctly. When I turn the ESC on and have the motor channel at neutral, the motor goes to full power and the only way to stop it with the receiver is to push the joystick to full positive signal.

I am using an Mtroniks viper marine 40 reversable ESC with a sombra labs SL-8.

    Any suggestions?
