    That's coming out nicely...
Are you using high rpm 380' sized motors in there? That's a good way to keep weight down.

Thier high rpm I believe. I used a pair of them in bb26 PE using 3 blade 25 pitch 1in dia I think(memory lapse here lol) Anyway you can see how PE ran on those props on Youtube PE SEA TRIALS PT1 AND PT2. The model ran faster than 28 sec around 26 or 24 and I had to go with BC's smallest props to get it down to 28. Fortuntaly it worked perfectly and the model handled very well. VDT should work on the next size up from the smallest BC has and run at her 26 sec spd with it's finer hull form than PEs.There is another Vid of PE completed running at the correct speed using the smaller props. In case none of this works I have the new gears coming in for the 380 motors from BC as a backup. I think though this setup will work just fine. KISS principal here.

More progress yesterday. I got the barbette locations cut out and cut out a section at teh fore section of the main deck beneath the fwd barbette. I checked for clearance for a bb cannon and the co2 tank and no issue there. The small pump just needed to be moved ahead for the stern sidemount. I had to move the main batteries back to allow the stern cannon which will be mounted on the wing port side. I may have the mag turned to face the stern and I will need to shorten the upfeed tube height. Using a Sharpie Marker I marked out the placements of the motor mounts, small pump, batteries and co2 tank. Next step to setup the trough for the waterchanneling and fill in the voids. Post pics hopefully tonight.

Couple of 10 amp Nihm's will fit right in, and only weigh around 4 pounds.

The 10amp would cost too much and then I would have to add addtional weight for ballast. I like using battery weight for ballast and the SLAs work out just fine. I can make the ballast useful instead of just adding dead weight. There's plenty of room inside.

OK. Well Evil Joker I needed more than luck.. I needed A PRAYER! I tried everywhich way and then some to fit 2 SLA's in VDT like PE. Oh it fits no problem till I started to install the wingmount cannons. There was just no room with 2 of these 6v 12am batteries to allow installation of the wingmounts even after I Cust the upfeed down as far as it would allow. Unlike the PE which is deeper, fatter, and has no wing mounts, the VDT has a lot less internal room. Been a long time since I worked on a model with WINGMOUNTS. They were bigger than VDT. So I decided to go with just 1 SLA 6v 12 amps centered in the hull between the wing bargettes. This gave me plenty of room to mount a coil cannon in the wing port barbette used as a stern gun and it allowed me to mount a coil cannon on the stbd wing mount as a bow gun. There is plenty of space on either side of the battery to mount servos, recevior battery and receivor. I was able to mount a coil cannon in the aft barbette as a stern sidemount and the barbette at the bow is used as a port side bow sidemount. I can cover 4 Quadrants. This model is outfitted as a 5 unit ship so 4 cannons 1 pump. It will be the third ship set up for Capitol Warship Combat- Extreme(aka CWC-X) .
