Looking forward to seeing active posts and chatter again.

My current project is going to be a new class 1 ship ...

What about the WWI Scharny? Where's the love for casement filled, slow, stern gun only ships?

Zach's new HMS Bermuda is a sealed rudder box from a trip into the tub.

I planning on a long winter, the SMS Scharnhorst will be back on the bench soon. Fix the SMS Kaiser after it was de-gunned for testing and has had a rough year. Right now I'm doing the periodic battery re-charge. More critically I'm cleaning, not really fun but it should allow for me to walk around the bench for the first time in a while.

The Class 1 will be slow like me, because that is how I roll ...

    Hi guys,

How are things up there in the frozen north country? When is the next Ice Breaker up north? Maybe I will make a battle this year. I might be ready by Farmington time. I just started reworking the insides of one of the BBs. I just have a lack of ponds out here. I lost the two main ponds I used to test at.

Do you guys still sell those molded gun mounts? I think I will need some.

Also, Anyone has a good source for QE turrets? I need some new ones, good ones.

    r/JB

I made a mold for 15' turrets as used on all British ships with them except Hood's, which had a different shape. I loaned the mold to Ralph Coles who supplied the turrets with his QE hulls but it's too worn to use now. I plan to make a new mold later this year.

Lil Scharnie is a hoot with one gun on either end, and I don't regard 26 seconds as slow when there are so many 28-second ships on the water :)

Excellent, now I can check things out.

    Hi Bob,

Long time no see. I guess I need to wonder up north some time and go swimming.

Well, Hello John. Last time I saw you I was supposed to count the 0-0-0 your Des Moines had every battle at NATS.
We're still battling up here all the time swing by this fall.

I might just do that. I may not have a ship but it would be nice to see everyone up north. I might be up there in mid September around the 17th for a wedding north of the cities.

    Hey Bob,

When is your next multi-day battle up north? I need to get to a battle sometime and you guys are the closest at only 1000 miles. :)

    See you around.

    We haven't planned one yet.
Looks like some weekend in August later or Sept. What looks good for you I'll add you to the list of who can/can't make it.

I am not sure of my schedule just yet, and I have to finish a ship first. I don't want to bring up a cruiser that won't get patched. :)
