Welcome to the new R/C Warship Combat board. (formerly known as RCNavalCombat) Bear with me as we will be working on this for a bit, there will be some dust. In the near future redirects will be properly put in place for as much old linkage as possible, ship plans will return, and more great things. If you have questions or troubles, please contact myself or one of the mods, @GregMcFadden or @Tugboat or @KeriMorgret
My email service is a bit tied up with the bulk email and it may take a little bit of time to get your password reset emails. Sorry! Should resolve itself over the next hour ish.
On my phone, but briefly: I own both, having acquired rcwarshipcombat earlier this year. It is my intent to use rcwarshipcombat as the canonical name and maintain rcnc as a redirect. In my informal survey it is a better SEO match as well as a logical one. The hobby revolves are warships, so the association is a good one.
Nick can speak better to it but there was some debate about whether rcnavalcombat or rcwarshipcombat better reflects the hobby. With the goal of fixing and growing the forum, now was the time to make a choice, and the winner was rcwarshipcombat. rcnavalcombat is not just hanging in the wind, nick has it and both will always be linked at the hip, so to speak. there is a lot of power here (a whole lot that has not been turned on too) and we would love feedback on features that work and don't work along with what would be beneficial for users.
It would have been nice if the community here was consulted on a change like that considering the years of history behind the name.
A subforum for AusBG? Absolutely. My usual standard is 2 people and 2 warships. I know AUSBG has more than that and would be happy to have your members here. Would you be best described as an organization or a Local Club?
