    Big guns or small?

The fast gun cannons typically don't rotate. As far as I know.

For Big Guns: Wire rotation seems to be the most reliable. Most buy a sail winch servo, or modify an existing to run as a sail winch, and link the front pair, wire runs to the rear are less common than a servo splitter and dual sail winches.

A lot depends on what type of guns you're using. If you have "Indiana"-style (aka "JC White"), then they're built to rotate. You need to install some sort of drive to make them rotate. If you have more than 1, you need to keep them aligned, too. There are a number of ways to do it, each with their own strengths & drawbacks. If you let us know for sure what type of guns you have (post a photo, maybe?) I'm sure somebody can help. Also, don't overlook your local club members as a resource to help figure things out.
