So I got a little free time at work today, and for some reason, I started listing the ships that are in a partially-finished state, whether thru a pause in construction, or awaiting a rebuild. Best guess is a 50/50 split between those two. I'm sure there are more actually in the shop, but this list was off the top of my head.
Malaya, Edgar Quinet, Othar Tryggvassen(Gentleman Adventurer!), Gearing, Lion, Invincible, Mackensen (SMS Graf Spee), Musashi, Suffren (Bangladesh Dupree), Koln, Baltimore, Takao, Evstafi, Tirpitz, Gorgon, Roma, Henri IV, and convoys Bogue, Golo x 2, and Elorn.
I seriously need an intervention. Maybe narrow down the number of ships that I want/need to like 5 or something and start getting the rest in position to move. I periodically get rid of one or two, but more show up.
Malaya will be my main battleship for the next 4 years. Lil Scharnie was not included on the list because she's battle-ready, not in need of refit. So that's 2 of my hypothetical 5. I can count Lion as 0 because it's going to be the Region 3 loaner boat and needs minimal refit (guns and drive still in it). Convoys I'm counting as 0 because they really only get used at Nats. So I have 3 left to select from the warships. The rest will eventually move on.:crying:

The first step is admitting you have a problem. :D

Problem? I don't see any problem! The only problem I see is that there's not enough subliminal advertising on here driving you all to continue this purchasing behavior on the Strike Models site.

Do those five including Battlestations as well, or does that not count? :D

Honestly, I have the opposite problem. I can't keep boats. I trade them off, or give them away. I have built up six, and only have one of those. My record is keeping one for four events. I have also owned seven more that either had nothing done to them or had a full or partial refit. The Emile Bertin I refit, ran in one battle, then gave to a new captain to get him on the water as fast as possible.

Oo, you have a Gorgon. I've been mulling adding one to my little collection.

Gotta love the Girl Genius boats..... waiting for the giant circular saw blades to emerge from Othar... (the boat, not the character).

    My boat history is mixed...
Von der Tann built, battled a few years, sold
Baden built, battled briefly, now in refit
Koln started build about 10 years ago, sitting half finished
DKM PE & Bremen hulls sitting in garage untouched

    Update, post-battle-weekend...

Prince of Wales has gone to a new home, providing some funding for the Big 3D printer project (5.5' x 10" x 10").

Gorgon went home with Chase Hargraves, as some small compensation for his driving from Canada to Georgia (OMG) for a battle.

Malaya and Lil Scharnie are both staying.

The plan is to finish boats that are not staying and sell them as hulls, or for Edgar, as a ready-to-battle cruiser, since the class will be covering that. The money will go towards building my new bigger 3D printer to do hulls with.

So, the plan is to finish Edgar and then sell her to provide funding for a bigger 3d printer?
