OK, I've now removed the sold items from this 10-yr old post. I still have the following item for sale. I'll be happy to email pictures to any interested party. - 1/192 scale USS Missouri hull. High Quality hull from the Scale Shipyard. Hull is in pretty good condition. Asking $100.00 plus shipping. I'll ship anywhere in the continental US. 5hanks for looking.
not thinking of getting out of the hobby are you? I'm interested in all the 1/96 scale items. do you also have a shimakaze hull?
Curt, I'll try to send you the pictures tonight. I'll probably be working late, so you may not get them until late at night... Mark, No, I'm not leaving the hobby. I'm keeping the Shimakaze, and a couple of other hulls. Thanks, Carl
Mark, Did you want me to send you photos of any of the hulls? Sorry, I forgot to ask that in my last post. I was trying to get out the door to go vote before work and was a little too rushed in my reply... Carl
Yes, please send photos of all 1/96 scale hulls you're willing to sell, including the sub (I understand that Curt has 1st dibs)
Great idea, Justin! Here's the Balao hull kit photos. 1/96 scale hull kit from Scale Shipyard. Note that the upper flood holes have all been cut out on the hull. White Metal Fittings: Conning Tower: Top view of conning tower. A portion of the deck has been replaced with brass mesh to allow air to escape the conning tower during dives. Periscope shears w/metal periscopes: View of stern planes, rudder, and props. Interior stern view. Nylon gears for counter-rotating props can be seen, along with foam for buoyancy. Linkage for rudder and stern planes is also visible. Interior view of bow. Bow planes bell crank and foam for buoyancy are visible. Hull view from starboard bow. Port bow view. I had to turn off the flash to get the bow tube shutter detail. Stern view of hull bottom. Shows stuffing tubes, prop shafts, props, rudder, and stern planes. Carl
Here's photos of the 1/96 scale USS Artemis hull. The gell coat and fiberglass work on this hull is by no means professional, but this won't matter for R/C combat. The hull is very strong. Hull shot: Interior hull shot: Starboard Hull view: Photos of 1/96 scale Liberty Ship hull. Hull was made by the Scale Shipyard. Port side hull view: View of hull from port aft: Interior shot of liberty ship hull: Carl
Here's photos of the 1/192 scale USS Missouri hull. Again, the hull is a high quality hull from the Scale Shipyard. Port view of 1/192 scale Missouri hull: Interior shot of 1/192 scale USS Missouri hull Bottom view of stern hull showing skegs and aft AA gun tubs: Carl
Curt, My emails to you are bouncing back. Please post or email me and let me know if you're still interested in the Balao hull kit. Thanks, Carl
Here's the pics I promised of the 1/144 scale Kongo. As I said before, Bob Amend did all the cap rail installation, and he did a great job with it!
Curt, Thanks for getting back to me. I tried emailing you again tonight but the email address you gave in your post keeps bouncing back my emails. If you're referring to the 1/144 scale Kongo hull, it's a Swampworks hull. Swampy did an excellent job on the Kongo! Carl
