I put garlic on all my wounds, that way the vampires will be deterred. Looking great!

This one got sanitized with acetone... and covered with a homemade duct tape/paper towel band aid. The show must go on.

Don't think you're the first one to shed blood on this project haha

    Great work!

Every one of my boats required a blood sacrifice before it worked well. Sometimes it was a ceremonial offering, other times it was purely accidental, but either way the offering always gets made...

If there is no blood, are you even trying?

Amazing work, both @Kevin P. and to you @modelshipsahoy I can't wait to see the finished hulls out there in the world!

Clay installed on starboard side. Still have to sand some rough off the index block dent edging to assure the molds fit tightly and have good seam symmetry.

Starboard side will be a much easier gel shot. It had to be upside down on the port side shot because the parting board wouldn’t bear the weight.

Sanded the rest of the index blocks and filled some indents with clay.

Then 4 coats of PVA made this all slick and shiny. Too brutally cold here tonight to risk a gel shot freezing and doing weird shrinky things.
    Goodnight moon.

Mold will be done this weekend... unless the typhoon we have coming here in Detroit takes down our power. Can make a boat every 4 days thereafter until the back orders are filled. 5 hulls already under contract ... send no money until I have yours ready to ship, but requests will be filled in the order received.

Starboard casements locked in with sub dermal glass. Will be black in an hour.

Waiting line has grown to 6. Early to mid February delivery for whomever wants #7. .... now serving number zero. Lol

Nice work! The Kongo line is growing!
I’m in the Yubari line. Am I the only one not in the Kongo line?

The Yubari is in need of a parting board. Originally thought we could do that one piece mold, but there are some inverse angles in the aft section that concern us for pulling parts without undue stress. Was dropped from this tooling gel shot as a last minute decision.

We will be adding updates on the Yubari post when it moves forward.
