Lux apartment in Alexandra Va. the firedepartment knows him already, and you don't want to live near.
The kind of tenant that pays his rent and you probably never see him, but you hear the grinding and smell the polyesters at odd hours of day or night.LOL

So.... me, before I bought my house this summer. got it.

It's amazing what people say when they find your dining room converted into a workshop full of boats.

I limit grinding/shop vac to between about 10am and 7pm. There are renovations going on throughout the building so there is plausible deniability. And yes no more polyester after the 'gas-leak' / 'meth-lab' investigation debacle, that work gets done at marty's

Yeeeeeeah, I had the 'Gas leak' thing happen to me too.

    In a Federal building.

Turns out my home-fermented sauerkraut had our District Safety officer running around the office looking for a gas leak.

"We have to evacuate the building!!! there is a gas leak coming from the Timber Sale Administrator's office!!"

We live downtown right on the main drag. We usually work in late evening when the town folds up. Police regularly set up a speed trap in the alley behind our shop. We give them coffee sometimes. They saw the inside of our shop one day and all they said was “WOW this is really cool!” Lol

    Blessed.

Speaking of police, today a bunch of police set up a road block down the hill I live on. They were apparently standing off with a guy with a shotgun who threatened to shoot himself. Wow there were sooo many police and SWAT people there there was police from 4 towns and 20ish SWAT people when I saw what it. They called in UAVs and helicopters too. No one got hurt and we can now go down the road but the police were still there.

Two more Kongōs built this weekend. Steve and Plato will see them soon. Not sure who will get the larger one in front... it’s a crap shoot. Lol

Kevin did a truly amazing job!

    Casemate areas are beautiful!

I have battled a similar boat and patching them is a PITA!

What issues could I have with a bit of bondo and fill those buggers in? 1581711421127976276118.jpg

To remove I would cut them out of the hull, tape outside, glass inside. Much better end product

FYI...We can build this sans casements with the flat sides between going to the deck line upon request.

Will look medieval castle like and you would still need to laminate the gaps, but easier and stronger without the extra cutting.

I would like to squeeze a gun under this turret, so how? Message_1581809580902.jpg
Overall height is: .5 inches at face and 11/16 at the back of the turret.

    Ideas?

Should be the same as the WW2 Kongo,
unless they grow vertically when unattended.

make a vacuum table, use the turret as a mold, and vacuum form a super-thin plastic over it. Once complete, replace material inside the turret until there is only enough room for the gun. Nice and snug.

    IMG_20200215_223212[1].jpg

Then make a silicone cast, add resin, and there you go. all of your turrets can be pooped out in a matter of weeks. Days if you're working at it.

Luckily, my truck takes a long time to build up a head of steam, so I have plenty of time on my hands between episodes of coal-shoveling for the weekly grocery run.

Yes some WW1 Germans are small, I have one. But on that build I didn't "grow" them taller to hold poorly fitted and bulky guns. I made the gun fit a smaller turret.

I do also remember the comments, decrying the Peroni syndrome my barrels presented.

And to those detractors I say " get bent".
    LOL

Are you talking about your Nassau? I thought the mounting was totally legit.
