Maybe contact this person and see what happened to the plans they had? http://www.shipmodels.info/mws_forum/viewtopic.php?f=47&t=152397#p634500
keri, Thanks for the recommendation but I really don't want to join another forum, I try to keep my forum membership to a minimum.
Try contacting Motion Models. They obviously have plans for the Wyoming class. http://www.motionmodels.com/ships/bb/bb33.html
SteveT44, Thanks for the reply but as I have previously said, I know of the vendors and prefer not to go that route. I have found many Booklets of General Plans online for free as they are open source and do believe it should be the same case for the Wyoming Class (I just haven't found it yet).
If google didn't work and HNSA was a bust, then you are out of luck. You could pay someone to go to the national archives and scan if they have the copies. Good luck with this, no idea on quality. http://www.the-blueprints.com/blueprints/ships/battleships-us/ If you are building her for combat, she is not the best boat. If you are wanting a scale model, I would suggest using google and join those forums for detail as the combat models are semi scale.
No new forum memberships and no calls to vendors? You just want scans of the original builders drawings (in high res of course) to popup first on a Google search I guess. Well good luck with that, it's not a well documented boat.
Doesn't have to be "high res" - as you can see from my post about BB-57 from the National Archive online, I am fine as long as I can see the lines. BTW - there's no need to be hostile.
No one is being hostile. We generally like to help others, but as Steve pointed out it is not realistic with your parameters.
I'm not trying to cause any problems - I just don't think my parameters are unreasonable, especially since so much is available online without the need to purchase.
Here. No need to purchase and no clue how accurate. https://picclick.com/USS-ARKANSAS-BB33-ship-boat-model-boat-plan-192098006802.html
$20 seems reasonable. http://www.ebay.com/itm/USS-ARKANSA...006802?hash=item2cb9eef712:g:9TUAAOSw3ydVrPyr
If you get them from Ebay you might as well order the Arkansas plans from Strike-$15. At least then you get them scaled to 1/144 and not a 11 x 26 sheet.
He'd be better off getting the plans from eBay. They look to be Ed Wisswesser(sp?) plans. The plans Strike has are Goff plans, my 3 year old can scribble a better looking plan set for less money.
He would be better off going to a scale model site and hunting down these plans. They tend to count more rivets that we do when looking at plans.
Though I'd want to know more about the source. http://www.homemodelenginemachinist...a555f1a16eaaf57d5963452&p=126102&postcount=18
